Challenge Korea for 2 consecutive losses, 2 losses to Australia on the first day of the International Crown

Korean women’s golf, which was aiming for a second straight victory, had an unfortunate start with two unexpected losses to Australia on the first day.

On the 5th (Korean time) in San Francisco, California, USA, at TPC Harding Park (par 72), Korea’s women’s national golf competition, the Hanwha LifePlus International Crown (total prize money of 2 million dollars), took place on the first day of the four-ball ㅋㅋㅋ벳 match between Jinyoung Ko, Hyojoo Kim and Inge Jeon, and Hyejin Choi. They were defeated by Hannah Green-Sera Camp and Lee Min-jee-Stephanie Kiriacow. Choe-Jeonjo lost by 2 holes, and Ko-Kimjo lost 2&1.

Korea won the 3rd tournament in 2018, and is aiming for a second consecutive victory in this 4th tournament, which resumed after 5 years. A total of 32 players from 8 countries, 4 players per team, are divided into 2 groups to play the group stage, and the top 2 countries advance to the semifinals.

Korea is in Group B with Japan, Thailand and Australia, and the United States, Sweden, England and China compete in Group A.

In Group B, Korea and Japan were predicted to have an advantage, but Japan also suffered two defeats to Thailand first.

As Thailand, which featured the Jutanugarn sisters and Tawatanagit-Titikun, defeated Japan, Group B’s advance to the semifinals became a mess.

In Group A, Sweden won 2 wins over England, and the United States drew 1-1 with China’s ambush.

USA’s Nellie Koda-Lilia Bu held off Lin Xiyu-Yin Luoning by two holes, but China’s Liu Yue-Liu Ruixin defeated Daniel Kang-Lexi Thompson in another match.
