Korean-Japanese central defender Han Ho-gang (30), who transferred to Suwon Samsung, revealed the behind-the-scenes story before and after the transfer was confirmed.
Recently, Hogang Han signed a 1+1 contract with Suwon. With this, Han Ho-gang wears the number 5 shirt. Instead, Hwang Myeong-hyeon (22), who belongs to Suwon, will play on loan in Jeonnam for one year.

Han Ho-gang, a Korean-Japanese, debuted in 2016 with Japan’s J3 League (third division) Blaublitz Akita and played until 2020. In 2021, he played for Yokohama FC of the J1 League (1st Division). Last year, he entered the Korean stage wearing a uniform with the Jeonnam Dragons. He appeared in 15 K League 2 (Second Division) matches. He recorded 7 goals-8 assists in 139 appearances in his professional career.
Suwon is looking forward to Han Ho-gang, who has the physical strength of 1m86 and 77kg. Suwon said, “Han Ho-gang is a central defender, and his strength is his high RBI header and interpersonal mark ability. When switching attacks, his build-up is sophisticated and his middle kick using the left and right sides is good. We expect him to be very useful in counterattack situations.”
