Dwight Howard (37), former NBA slam dunk king who flew to Taiwan, will compete in a 3-point shootout in the Taiwan League All-Star Game.

Howard received the most votes in Taiwan League All-Star fan voting. The All-Star Game will be held on the 28th.

Howard, who is recording an average of 23.4 points, 13.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 7 Taiwanese league games, has a 20.0% 3-point shot success rate (6/30). Howard made just 22 three-pointers in just 103 attempts in 1,242 NBA games.

“I’m looking forward to it (the 3-point contest),” Howard said. “I want to say thank you to all the fans in Taiwan who voted for me and my other teammates.”

“I want to enjoy it as much as I can. It’s the first time I’m playing with other players in the T1 league, so I’m going to go out and do slam dunks, shoot three-pointers and make the game very competitive,” he said.

“It means a lot to me and the other players who will be playing in the All-Star game. I will do my best.”

Team Infinity and Team Beyond, led by Howard, will consist of a total of 13 players, each with 8 domestic players and 5 international players.
