Noh Seung-yeol tied for 19th in the 3rd round of the PGA Tour Puerto Rico Open 

Reporter Kim Dong-chan = Noh Seung-yeol (32) tied for 19th in the third round of the PGA Tour Puerto Rico Open (total prize money: $3.8 million).

On the 5th (Korean time), on the 3rd day of the tournament held at the Grand Reserve Golf Club (par 72, 7,506 yards) in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, Noh Seung-yeol scored 3 under par with 1 eagle, 4 birdies, 1 bogey and 1 double bogey. I hit 69.

Noh Seung-yeol, who recorded a total of 8 under par and 208 strokes over the three days, started the final round on the 6th with a tie for 19th place.

He is only one stroke behind the players tied for 10th, so he has a good chance of entering the ‘Top 10’.

The last time Noh Seung-yeol finished in the top 10 at a PGA Tour event was a tie for 5th at the Wells Fargo Championship in May 2017, nearly six years ago.

This season, the best result was a tie for 15th at the RSM Classic in November last year.

The Puerto Rico Open is a tournament in which players who did not participate in the PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational (total prize money of $20 million) held during the same period mainly participate.

Nico Echavaria (Colombia) took first place alone with 17 under par 199 strokes, and Carson Young (USA) took second place alone by two strokes with 15 under par 201 strokes.

If you win this tournament, you can go to the Players Championship next week and the PGA Championship in May. In addition, you can secure the qualification to participate in the PGA Tour for two years.

However, even if you win this tournament, you cannot receive the right to participate in the Masters in April.

Last year’s Puerto Rico Open champion Ryan Brem (USA) won the title just before being relegated to the second part of the tour, and qualified for the PGA Tour for two years.

Korean player Michael Kim (USA) tied for 10th with a 9-under 207 strokes, and Kang Seong-hoon (36) tied for 66th with a 1-over 217 strokes.
