Kim Ye-sol (Ansan Sunbu Middle School) and Kim Ye-seo (Gyeonggi Weightlifting) won three titles in the girls’ weightlifting event at the 52nd National Youth Sports Festival, the ‘Dreamers Festival’.
Kim, who is coached by Cho Sung-hyun, won the girls’ 45kg weightlifting event on the first day of the tournament at the Ulsan Exhibition and Convention Center Weightlifting Stadium in Ulsan with 54kg, and then added a gold medal in the main event, yong sang, with 66kg, for a total of 120kg to become the first Gyeonggi-do athlete to win three titles.
In the girls’ 59-kilogram competition, Kim Ye-seo won first place with a 71-kilogram lift, followed by Yong Sang-seo with a 93-kilogram lift, for a total of 164 kilograms.
In the men’s air rifle event at Daegu Shooting Range, Song Si-woo (Pyeongtaek Han Kwang-jung) won the individual competition with a score of 620.0 points, and then teamed up with Moon Seong-hoon, Park Sung-chan (Han Kwang-jung), and Jung Si-kyun (Icheon-jung) to win the team competition with a tournament record of 1,852.4 points.
In the athletics competition at the Ulsan Sports Complex, Lee Min-chan (Gyeonggi) won the men’s pole vault by clearing 4 meters, while Lee Min-ji (Hyeonsan-cho, Goyang) won the high jump and Geum Hyun-hak (Balgok-cho, Uijeongbu) won the men’s long jump with marks of 1m50 and 5m58. Kwon Seo-lin (Gwangmyeong Cheolsanjung) also won the women’s 5,000-meter race in 25:20.91.
In swimming, Lee Soo-hyun (Suwon Daepyeong) won the men’s 100-meter freestyle in 51.75 seconds, while Kim Do-hyun (Gyeonggi) in the 200-meter butterfly and Kim Seung-won (Yongin) in the women’s 50-meter backstroke were the first to touch the touchpad with times of 2:01.25 and 28.80 seconds, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kang Woo-hyun (Buyongjoong, Uijeongbu-si) won the gold medal in 22 minutes and 11 seconds in the men’s triathlon, while Lee Min-sol (Cheonhyeon-cho, Hanam), who was selected to compete in the men’s triathlon and women’s archery 30m, scored 3,485 and 351 points, respectively. Yoon Gun-ah (Moon Won-joong, Seongnam) in the secondary Greco-Roman 42 kg wrestling and Baek Jun-ho (Danwol-joong, Yangpyeong) in the men’s 81 kg judo were also among the winners.
Shin Hyo-in (Baekseokjung, Yangju) struck gold in the women’s individual bowling with a score of 921, while Choi Si-ho (Seongdong-cho, Pyeongtaek – 70.168) in the men’s individual all-around and Kim Do-yoon (Gapyeong-joong – 2:29.784) in the men’s 2 km individual pursuit also won gold.안전놀이터
