‘You don’t even shake hands?’… Park Hang-seo and Shin Tae-yong, Southeast Asia ‘noisy’

Vietnamese coach Park Hang-seo and Indonesian coach Shin Tae-yong did not shake hands after the game and continued their nervous battle over the semi-final match.

Vietnam and Indonesia drew 0-0 in the first leg of the semifinals of the 2022 Asian Football Federation (AFF) Mitsubishi Electric Cup held at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Indonesia on the 6th (Korean time).

Indonesia, who played the game at home, drove Vietnam by shooting eight times, but could not break through Vietnam’s defense. Vietnam also recorded 4 shots, but in the end the game did not break the balance. 

After the first game, the head coaches of the two teams had a great battle of nerves.

Director Shin Tae-yong did not back down either. At the press conference after the match, “If Vietnam is stronger, why did it end up in a tie? Anyone can say that their team is strong,” said manager Park Hang-seo in response.

The two coaches drew media attention for not even shaking hands after the match, in addition to a huge war of nerves. 

Indonesian media Sepak Bola said, “Coach Hang-seo Park and Tae-yong Shin didn’t even shake hands after the game. There is a problem with the relationship between the two directors.” 

Coach Park Hang-seo did not answer the reporter’s question about the fact that he did not shake hands, saying, “It is a question of a personal relationship, not a game.” Director Shin Tae-yong said, “I was going to shake hands. But director Park turned around and I just stopped.”

It seems that both coaches have expressed their will not to give up easily as the two teams are on the verge of the final and aim to win the championship.

Coach Park Hang-seo is in dire need of beauty as she will lay down the baton for the Vietnam national team for the last time at this tournament.

Head coach Shin Tae-yong is desperate for the final as he is aiming for the first championship in Indonesian football history.

Meanwhile, the semifinals and finals of the Mitsubishi Cup will be played home and away.

The two teams will compete in a single-legged match in the second leg held at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam at 9:30 pm on the 9th.
